Hi Martin

Just a quick note to thank you for the fantastic DVD and photos of my tandem jump in Swindon on 31st Aug. It's been great being able to show everyone. Would just like to apologize for not answering your question 'what was the best bit?' after I had landed, but I think I'd left my eardrums a few thousand feet up, and couldn't hear a word anyone was saying.

Many thanks again, please pass my thanks onto H as well.

I recently took part in a tandem sky dive on 23/08/09.

I would like to say a huge thank you to all involved, it was one of  the most amazing experiences of my life.

I found everyone at Redlands airfield to be so friendly and encouraging, immediately putting me at ease.

Please can you pass on my thanks to my camera man Martin who did a fantastic job, I'm so thrilled with my D.V.D. I have already watched it several times with a huge grin on my face.

Please can you also pass on a special thank you to my instructor Lee Reed, who constantly reassured me, giving me absolute confidence which enabled me to feel totally safe whilst I "Enjoyed the view" !

With many thanks and kind regards

Apologies for taking so long to thank you for an amazing experience with you and the team on Friday, May 22nd, but I have just managed to get the last of the sponsor money in from all the lads. It was actually worth the wait - nine of us tandemed on the day and we raised £877.15 for The Firefighters Charity. Many thanks again for such an awesome day. Two of us are undertaking an AFF Course at the moment - we are on Level 4 at present. We are looking for some Friday jumps - shift pattens and all that - could you please forward me your prices for level 4 and up and also consolidation jumps and beyond.... Also, could you confirm that I have £50.00 credit with you, due to paying for one deposit that we did not use. Your help in this matter is much appreciated. Yours In Freefall,

Hi Bruce & Co.

We'd like to thank you and all the staff at the Redlands Skydive
Centre for giving us such a fantastic day last Sunday. Our family do
some crazy things together, but that was the craziest and certainly
the very best.

From the initial signing in, through to the briefing from Andy, the
great tandem instructors, you Bruce, Andy and Jerry, the pilot and the
photographer, we were made to feel as relaxed as possible in a very
friendly, but efficient and professional way. Our supporters were
also made to feel very welcome.

We really enjoyed the flight up to 10,000 ft, and after the initial "
!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " from us on leaving the plane like we've never done
before, we actually loved the descent. The "high" lasted for a long
time.

We would certainly recommend you to anyone "mad enough" to want to do
a similar thing.

Thanks again and best wishes

Valerie Baldock, Jules Baldock and Clare Humphrey.

Hi there,

It was an unforgettable experience in my life. I enjoyed a
lot. Those we have enjoyed on this event we can't explain it's
feelings to others.
Even though when they have seen our pictures and video they have just
feel something happened
but we can feel the real experience.

I am inviting and insisting to everyone in my networks to join this event and
have to realise the real taste on the sky under wind blow.

In my analysis I am the only one person origin from
Bangladesh who had participated on that event. Could you please find out that
record for me also you can focus it on website that people are interested from
different countries as well.

Many thanks,

Hi! I had an amazing jump on Saturday (Group 8) and just wanted
to say a huge thank you. Andy made the experience amazing - even though i
was rubbish and left the plane like a plank!!

I think i may have caught the sky diving bug and wondered if you would be
able to tell me what the next steps are? I'm not sure i am ready to do a
course yet (jumping on your own is a big step!!) but I would love to do
another tandem jump ;)

Thanks!

Hi Brucie,

Thank you very much for the skydiving. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Could you also thank Andy, as everyone was commenting on how amazing he was as an instructor - patient, thorough and fun. Also, could you thank Jordy (or Geordie) for the class-room briefings, although most were exhausted by then.

It was great taking part on Saturday, and was very much a learning curve. I hope that we can keep jumping with you guys! The course was very professionally run, and I can't wait to make this a regular occurrence.

Dear Sir/Madam,
Could you please forward this on to Redlands on my behalf.
On Saturday 25.10.08 I undertook a tandem parachute jump at Redlands. The booking process was so straight forward and the staff were very helpful, and supplied all the information necessary.
On arrival at the airfield the staff there were efficient and friendly, and quickly put everyone at ease. There was a warm welcome, which was good as the morning air certainly had a chill about it!  Bruce gave us our safety briefing. He then decked us out in our jump gear. He was great. He explained every stage and made sure we all understood. The whole atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. It was evident that the staff where there to make sure that everyone had a great time and a great experience.
Bruce then introduced me to my jump instructor, Ryan. Ryan also ensured I was at ease and asked if I had any questions. As I walked to the aircraft, Ryan briefly went over safety aspects again, and what he would be doing and checking once we were in the aircraft. He was very informative and it was evident that he was also very experienced. He made me feel as though I had known him alot longer than just the few minutes since we were introduced.
Deep down I was very excited, which apparently did not show externally as everyone kept asking me if I was alright and not to worry. In hindsight, maybe I did look a little concerned as I do not like heights especially where I do not have a barrier in front of me. This is certainly the case when you are dangling from the side of an aircraft!
The aircraft reached its target of 10,000ft, the door was opened and everyone was jumping out in order. My turn came. We bounced to the door, and without realising, there I was dangling with nothing in front or below! I did not have time to think as Ryan pushed off. It must have only been for one or two seconds, but I felt I was on my own and hurtling towards earth at a pace of knots. Then there was a tap on my arms. The signal to take up the diving position. My brain must have told me subconciously that I was not alone after all! as I felt myself relax, take up the position and I enjoyed every second of the jump. I was actually disappointed when we landed and it was all over. I felt like a kid at a funfair, and wanted to turn round and say again, again!
It was not until it was all over and the whole experience was going around and around in my mind, and I kept reliving every moment, that I realised exactly how I felt when we first jumped out of the aircraft. My fear of heights and no going back. I also realised that my life was in Ryan's hands, and he certainly did a brilliant job in looking after me. I was on a 'high' for two days afterwards, and I have not 'landed' yet.
I cannot express my gratitude to all the staff at Redlands, and a great big special thanks to Ryan. Ryan has made a big impact on my life through this fantastic parachute jump. I would like to wish him, his wife and his baby a long and fruitful life.
Thank you everyone, I would certainly like to jump again sometime.

Home safe and sound, the aquarium burbling away the constant noise of the traffic in the distance trying its best to smother the bird song. My most lasting memory of my tandem jump today will be of the "exhilerating silence"  which has re-awakened my somewhat tired and tarnished view of life.

I jumped on Friday, with Marc Mackintyre and Naomi Baker<P>

Wow, I didn't think the human body could feel so many extremes of emotions in 45 mins - tremendous!!!

It was one of the most fantastic afternoons I have had, I loved it, OK the anticipation nearly killed me but in a weird way that was the bit I enjoyed

I would like to say a big thank you to Bruce who took me up, sorry I was a bit of f girl in the plane, and to all the staff at the centre, all brilliant, very professional and they really helped to make it a fun event. Especially to the kind lady who gave me three beers at the end (I thought it was a bar! - Whoops - and she wouldn't take any money for them - well needed)

Tremendous, we will be back!

Dear Jerry,

I should like to express my thanks to you, Andy Shaw and Steve Bunce for your contribution to making our first  Tandem jump such a superb experience.

Your relaxed and humorous manner on the ground and in the air coupled with an overlying professionalism and regard for the safety and well being of your students gave my son Chris and myself a thoroughly enjoyable and unforgettable day.

Thanks also to Buncey for recording the event on film for us to re-live the experience. The picture quality he produced whilst tracking a subject at freefall speed still mystifies me.

Many thanks again,

Happy Landings

Hi Ryan,

DVD came through today – Great job! Some wicked footage there plus excellent photos, angles and editing – absolutely AWESOME in the true sense of the word!

If you want me to leave feedback somewhere or testimonial about paying the extra for the DVD I will do gladly, it was well worth every penny and has completed the experience for me, and possibly started off a new hobby, looking into doing a lot more now as there is somewhere quite near to where I live it turns out…

That’s my site - http://www.jasonkent.co.uk/skydive

I also ‘youtubed’ a smaller edited version – I left your credits on the end ;-)

All the best with your jumps, and many thanks

Dear Grant Just a very quick thank you on behalf of the Benevolent Society for helping us organise the skydive last Sunday (20th July). All the staff at the airfield was great and the instructors were amazing, we all had a fantastic day and we have managed to raise over £20K in the process. It was so successful that we are planning on making this an annual event so hopefully next year we will get a least 30 people jumping and raise even more. Best wishes Nic

Dear All,

I just wanted to let you know what a fantastic day I had last Saturday!

Initially, when I received my Red Letter Day experience for my birthday last
year, admittedly, my heart sank. A skydive was NEVER on my 'to do' list,
and I really didn't think that I could do it. Of course, I didn't tell my
family that and, if I'm honest, I only turned up on Saturday because I
didn't want to let them down.

When I met Gerry, my Instructor, I was immediately put at my ease. He was
friendly, reassuring and witty, as was my photographer, whose name, I'm so
sorry to have to say, has escaped me (that'll be an age thing!). He was
really great too... When we were on the plane, I really didn't feel as
nervous as I thought I would. Even when the door opened and we sat with our
feet out at 10,000 feet, I felt secure knowing that Gerry was with me. The
whole experience was a pleasure from start to finish, mainly due to the
professionalism, care and dedication of the Team I was entrusted to.

I have watched my DVD over and over, completely amazed that I DID IT! (I am
also amazed at how quickly the DVD came through - what service!) I will
DEFINITELY do it again, and this from a woman who used to have a fear of
heights and flying!!

So, thank you so much for my experience. Please pass my thanks on to all
those who were with me last week, particularly Gerry. I can honestly say
that the memory will stay with me forever. I'm so glad I did it, and I
can't wait to do it again.

Yours sincerely,

Marie Hall,

Hello all!

Thank you for all for being so friendly and calming on Sunday when I came up for a tandem skydive.

I thoroughly enjoyed it (after I had had time to get over the excitement!) Andy was spot on when he said we would be asleep in our pints by 8pm.

I have finally finished telling everyone about it and may even drag my brother up to have a go in the future as he thinks he may like to have a go now.

Thank you to Jez for the camera work-I had not realised how many pics he had taken. The pictures are fantastic and the every one loves the DVD-I have not had it since Mon as its still doing the rounds.

And finally thanks to Lee for the ride and uber soft landing!
See you all again sometime.

To Andy,

Thank you for what has to be the best hour of my life so far. (Sun 10th Sept, 1st flight, 1st jump). I am so glad you managed to hang onto your shades. I had not realised just how close you actually came to losing them, but Jez's excellent photography showed me. Thought you might like to see for yourself, if you haven't seen it already. I definitely want to jump again, but from higher this time, and do more swoops, turns etc. Would love to receive any advice on how to achieve this. Hope to meet you again one day.

Steph Smart

To Jez,

Thanks for the fantastic footage, both on the DVD and the still shots (Sun 10th Sept, 1st flight, 1st jump). Everytime I watch the DVD everything comes flooding back and as yet is keeping me on a high. I expect that will fade eventually, but right now, I still want to do it all over again, only higher next time.

Please pass the following onto Andy Shaw, as I know he has "other" work commitments!

Hi there,

Back in 2000 I lost part of my right forearm during an incident with a neighbour and a shotgun. Due to the skills of the surgeons at Morriston Hospital in Swansea, I still have the arm and my hand is pretty functional.

Thanks to you guys and the staff at Curves gym in South Wales I was able to raise a little more than £500 which I am donating to the Burns and Plastic Surgery unit in Morriston hospital. A mere drop in the ocean by some standards, but a great achievement for me, none the less.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks once again, for what was the most exciting thing that I have done so far. I would have loved to have stayed around and watched everybody else jump, but pressure from elsewhere meant I had to leave.

Hi all,

Just wanted to drop you guys an email to say thank you for an amazing jump. It truly was breath taking and the minute we landed I wanted to go again. I hope we didn't come across too evil just desperate to get up there!

Being strapped to Loz obviously made up for the wait - 10 fold... :o)

Take care, hope to see you at our next tandem!

Hi Bruce

Many thanks for an excellent skydive experience last week - it was worth the wait.

As a semi-professional writer I make a habit of recording the details of events I have experienced before the memory fades. My take on our skydive is attached. It may end up in a magazine or newspaper one day! Feel free to use any or all of it in your own promotional literature if you want to.

Thanks too to Jeremy for the DVD - very professional. I've now got the Gorillaz and U2 tracks on my ipod!
